Job Title: JFEW Intership program

JFEW Internship programs offer college students from the CUNY Hillel community paid, professional summer internships with leading corporations, non-profit organizations and government agencies throughout New York City. The CCC Summer program is part of a broader initiative that offers career support to students at CUNY Hillels throughout the academic year. The JFEW Summer Internship program, sponsored by Jewish Foundation for Education of Women in partnership with UJA-Federation of New York, is one component of a selective 3-year Scholarship program for high-achieving young women from the CUNY Hillel community.

Program Highlights:

  • Comprehensive Internship Preparation/Orientation: During the academic year prior to the internship, JFEW students participate in workshops on resume-building, job interview preparation, networking strategies, and professional communication to prepare them for professional success. CCC Summer students receive the same skills training during a pre-program orientation.

  • Career Development: Program includes one-to-one resume development, mock interviews, and 3 skills-building and networking events during the summer.

  • Access to Exclusive Internships: Students are placed in internships in their field of interest across a wide range of industries.

JFEW Program Timeline:

  • June 16 - August 8

JFEW Compensation and Payroll:
Interns work 35 hours per week for 8 weeks, or a total of 280 hours. Compensation is $20/hour. Placements are subsidized by Jewish Foundation for Education of Women.
