Job description

At Magnetic Specialties, we build custom transformers and other magnetic devices for our customers. As a small but busy shop, our Production Assemblers are a key part of the team, essentially putting pieces together to solve a life-sized customer-product puzzle! It takes attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions but once you get the hang of it, it'll be consistent and predictable work.

What you'll do

As a Production Assembler at Magnetic Specialties in Telford, PA, you'll work Monday through Friday 7 am to 3:30 pm, assembling transformers for our customers. This is an entry-level position for us, so with the right attitude, machine operating or manufacturing experience, and a willingness to learn, we are more than happy to train you on all aspects of the role and provide growth opportunities. Day-to-day you'll:

  • Read and understand customer prints to assemble products
  • Use various hand and power tools
  • Pick parts and move products using a crane forklift (training provided!)
  • Maintain clean and orderly work area
  • Follow work instructions and complete all customer labeling/packaging requirements
  • Work efficiently while ensuring company quality standards are maintained

What you need to thrive in this role

  • High School Diploma or GED, preferred
  • Machine operating or manufacturing experience required
  • A willingness to learn and follow instruction
  • Be a team-oriented, reliable, safety-minded, individual
  • The ability to lift, bend, reach, and stand on a daily basis
  • Prior soldering, simple welding, or fabrication experience is a plus but we are willing to train!
