About Us:

Ace Metal Works is a U.S.-based manufacturer specializing in metal spools, carriers, and wire handling solutions since 1946. As a trusted supplier to the wire, cable, and industrial materials industries, we take pride in delivering quality, precision, and reliability in every product. We are expanding our team and seeking a skilled Welder to support our production of metal fabrications.

Position Overview:

We’re looking for an experienced and dependable welder to join our fabrication team. This is a hands-on role focused on MIG welding, fitting, and assembly of mild steel components used in the production of wire carriers and spools.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform MIG welding on steel components according to blueprints and specifications
  • Read and interpret fabrication drawings
  • Fit and assemble parts using jigs, fixtures, and measuring tools
  • Perform basic grinding, drilling, and cutting as part of the assembly process
  • Inspect welds and finished assemblies for accuracy and quality
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of MIG welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication shop
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and tape measures accurately
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools used in metalworking
