Job description

This program requires a 2-year commitment to Cross-Border Driving. Candidates must hold a MELT Class 1/AZ license, be eligible to work in Canada and have the necessary documents to enter the U.S. If you are interested in a career as a long-haul Driver, please click this link to watch this video which describes the Family Lifestyle of a Professional Driver.

  • Required to be on the road 5 to 10 days at a time
  • Required to be available for dispatch 24 days a month including, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Required to drive on Highway 17 in Ontario 12 months a year
  • Required to sign a 2-year contract

Applicants must meet all the following hiring criteria:

1. Must hold a MELT certified Class 1/AZ license, obtained with the last 6 months

2. Must live within a one-hour commute of our Mississauga Terminal

3. Must be eligible to enter the United States and have the necessary border-crossing documents

4. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

5. Must have held a valid Canadian Class 5/G License for a minimum of 1 year

6. Have had no preventable accidents within the past year

7. Have had no more than two moving violations within the previous two years; this includes speeding, improper moves, seatbelt fines, etc.

8. Must be eligible for a FAST card
