Job description

AQUATICS AID

Cyclical, $11.94/hr.

Our Aids are not certified lifeguards, but they do play a vital role in the safety and upkeep of the Pratt Aquatic Center. We'll teach you how to enforce center rules with a smile (including showering before entering pool); assist as a second set of eyes for safety purposes; assist with keeping the facility clean; and help our instructors during swim lessons.

As an Aid your typical work duties include:

  • Assists with setup of swim lessons and/or acts as an assistant to swim instructors during lessons;
  • Assists with setup of special functions and events. Moves equipment and material as directed;
  • Provides assistance to cashiers and concessions operators under supervision;
  • Monitors pool entrance to ensure individuals have showered prior to entry;
  • Performs custodial duties as assigned including, but not limited to, emptying garbage cans, sweeping and mopping floors, washing facility equipment; and,
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

You'll be surrounded by both teens and adults who have a shared goal of ensuring our patrons have a good time but return home safely. Come make a "splash" and "dive in" to your new job!
