Position Overview

This entry-level role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work and wants to learn the fundamentals of sheet metal fabrication in a professional shop environment. You’ll receive on-the-job training while working alongside experienced fabricators, producing components used on large-scale mechanical projects. No prior shop experience is required—just a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.

What You’ll Do

  • Operate and assist in setting up sheet metal fabrication equipment, including shears, press brakes, and plasma tables
  • Measure, cut, and form sheet metal according to shop drawings and specifications
  • Read and interpret basic blueprints and fabrication drawings
  • Perform quality inspections to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Handle materials, including loading and unloading sheet metal
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work area
  • Support the fabrication team as needed to meet production deadlines
