Job description

ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM:
Activations department at TelevisaUnivision is looking for an Activations Technician to join our team! You'll support promotional initiatives for Local Media Los Angeles (KMEX-34, KFTR-46, KLVE 107.5, KRCD/KRCV 103.9 & 98.3 & KSCA 101.9). The Activations Technician will be responsible for set up of promotional items, banners, tables, tents and sound equipment for remotes, special events and station appearances. Interface with clients, listeners, and general public during off site promotional activities. Activation Technicians must be able to collaborate creatively with the Sales & Promotions staff.
You will report to the Activations Supervisor.
YOUR DAY-DAY:
  • Assist in carrying out of station in-field promotions
  • Assist the On-Air Talent and Sales Executives with on-site requests, contests, prizes etc.
  • Pick up after event and load equipment and promotional items in vehicle. Provide customer service by ascertaining the client needs before any event
  • Follow all station promotions policies and guidelines Greet listeners and distribute prizes to winners Conduct on-air announcements from remote or appearance locations Drive station vehicles including oversized trucks and vans
  • Always maintain vehicle and promotional item appearance in an excellent manner
  • Other duties as deemed necessary

YOU HAVE:
  • Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to conduct "call-in On-Air announcements" from site locations in Spanish
  • Flexible work schedule including weekends and Holidays
  • Creative, Organized, Enthusiastic Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Computer literate Knowledge of digital social media
  • Strong social media skills and understanding of current trends.
  • Entry level video editing skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut) Prior experience in customer service, sales, promotions, or brand ambassador (1+ year preferred)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Us High School Diploma/GED or equivalent Prior experience in a similar position
  • Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook Slight experience with video editing software preferred (not required)
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish/English. Ability to communicate effectively in Spanish (read, write, speak)
