Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows
  • Performing anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
  • Assisting in surgery
  • Performing dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiography
  • Maintaining accurate, detailed medical records and treatment documentation
  • Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately
  • Identifying patient concerns and supporting efficient case management across the hospital
  • Building strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service

Schedule and compensation:

  • Compensation: $29 - $32 per hour, for each hour worked
  • This is a full-time position with a 5/8 schedule and availability required for 1-2 Saturdays per month and an occasional half-day on Sundays.

  • Bonus package: $2000 based on active, good-standing veterinary technician credentials in the state of California
  • CE allowance: $500-$1,000 per year, based on tenure and credentials
  • Health package: Medical, dental, and vision insurance with HSA option and choice of United Healthcare or Kaiser Permanente
  • Life insurance and disability
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • 401k with company match starting in 2027
  • Paid time off in accordance with site policy and applicable law
  • Personal pet discount
  • Great team culture!

*Part-time team members may be eligible for limited benefits in accordance with company policy and state law

Minimum qualifications and skill set:

  • 3+ years of veterinary technician experience
  • Active and good-standing Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in the state of California
  • Proficiency in the following skills:
    • Patient assessment, nursing care, and monitoring
    • Anesthetic induction, monitoring, and recovery
    • Surgical assistance and aseptic technique
    • Venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement
    • Radiology positioning and safety protocols
