OVERVIEW

The Utility maintenance position is an entry-level position responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of our mill premises and equipment. This work includes working with brooms, mops and other cleaning products along with working in high places, climbing ladders and the use of catwalks on occasion.ย 

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Able to work effectively with brooms, mops, and cleaning products
  • May be assigned to work in high places and climb ladders or catwalks
  • Must have valid Driver License
  • Understanding of Quality and focused on performing Quality Work
  • Willing to wear personal protective equipment all day long, including hearing protection, eye protection, hard hats, safety shoes
  • In addition, other items that may be required on some job assignments
  • Required to attend yearly safety training
  • Cleaning up after work or in case of any spills
  • Reporting to the supervisor on any anomalies in department

WORK EXPERIENCES

  • Mechanical or welding experience preferred

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have GED / or High School Graduate

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

  • No

CAPABILITIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES)

  • Able to read and identify product details, as well as differentiate between similar products
  • Ability to work rotating shifts and weekend and have a reliable means of transportation if necessary

  • Ability to work overtime when requested or available and ability to work any hour of any week
  • Able to demonstrate and maintain good hygiene practices
