Job description

Join T2 Utility Engineers in Altamonte Springs, FL to play an integral role in providing reliable underground and above-ground utility information to reduce the risks that utilities present for infrastructure projects. T2ue helps clients manage the complexity of existing utilities with our professional and comprehensive Subsurface Utility Engineering, Utility Coordination, and Surveying services.

Our mission is to provide project stakeholders with quality utility information, professional insight, and deliverables that streamline construction, improve project safety, and set the standard for the utility engineering industry. Since 1993, our reputation has been built on providing incomparable service based on high standards of technical ability and project understanding.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Identify and execute Utility Coordination strategies for any given contract, communicating that strategy to the Project Owner, Prime Designer and Utility Companies, and executing that strategy
  • Identification of Subsurface Utility Engineering requirements to properly identify utility infrastructure, engage and manage the completion of such SUE investigations
  • Identification of utility conflicts with each contract through a thorough examination and understanding of existing utility infrastructure and proposed project scope of work
  • Creation and maintenance of a Utility Conflict Matrix, Relocation Matrix, and utility relocation schedules
  • Identifying the need for, organizing and chairing utility coordination meetings, recording minutes and following up on action items
  • Participation in regularly scheduled project meetings
  • Calculation of utility relocation costs
  • Input into suggested utility relocation designs required to clear conflicts and meet the needs of the contract design
  • Include CAD / Jr. Utility Coordinator in project responsibilities, delegate, manage and review work to be completed
  • Prepare proposals for RFPs, collaborating with SUE, CCTV and Utility Design groups as needed
  • Oversight / management of project finances, including review of monthly project invoices, identification of scope creep / additional budget requirements, writing of proposals to obtain additional budget as required
  • Other duties/responsibilities as required

Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate will bring with them a strong and reputable background in the Municipal, Highway or Utility engineering industry
  • Candidates must have a strong knowledge of Utility Coordination practices, right-of-way management, utility design and construction, surveying and SUE mapping
  • The candidate must possess excellent presentation skills, and most importantly an outgoing personality and strong desire to succeed
  • Must have 5 years’ experience as a Project Manager
  • Valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle is required, as travel to meetings is often required
