Job description

WORK OBJECTIVE Performs lead worker, technical, and analytical work coordinating the department's customer service and utilities operations for water, sanitation, sewer, stormwater and parking meter services. Primary service areas include water meter and sanitation accounts maintenance, accurate and timely billing operations, permit verifications for new installations and demolitions, parking revenue management and liens processing. Work is performed under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

To view full job description, please click on the job title: Utility Billing Specialist MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or GED; supplemented by three or more years directly related and progressively responsible experience in utility billing and customer service functions; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training and/or experience. Must have National Incident Management System (NIMS) certification (level to be determined by job classification requirements) or obtain within one year of employment. In addition to meeting the minimum qualifications listed above, an individual must be able to perform each of the established essential functions in order to perform this job successfully.
