Job description

National Customer Service Specialist

MBA Consulting Services, Inc. is looking for a detail-oriented National Customer Service Specialist to support the U.S. Postal Service at their Topeka, KS facility. In this role, you'll play a key part in maintaining and improving the USPS's Security Lock policies, systems, and processes. You'll assist customers with ordering locks and keys, provide Tier 2 help desk support, and ensure accuracy in critical data files and records.

This position does not allow for remote/telework flexibility.

Responsibilities
  • Communicate with Postal employees and customers to share updates on systems, processes, and ordering policies.
  • Generate reports and suggest process improvements for better management and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance Security Lock functions.
  • Provide technical support for ordering systems and related applications.
  • Maintain accurate records for key returns, combination changes, and product updates.
  • Participate in meetings to provide insights and recommendations on Security Lock programs.
  • Support Tier 2 help desk operations by addressing escalated customer inquiries and resolving issues.
Basic Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years' experience in customer service, help desk/tech support/call center operations, or materials ordering support.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Access, and CSV files.
  • Familiarity with MS Teams.
  • Strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • A proactive and adaptable mindset with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to pass a Background Investigation, Drug Test, and provide fingerprinting to obtain a Public Trust Clearance

  • Undergraduate degree
Additional Details
  • Location: Onsite at USPS facility, 500 Gary Ormsby Dr., Topeka, KS
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM CT.
  • Position Type: Non-exempt, 40-hour workweek
  • Length of Position: 1 year with the potential of being extended an additional year
