Job description

Kingfisher Recruiting is seeking a skilled and reliable Generator Technician to join our client. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing, servicing, and repairing generators in residential and/or commercial settings. This role is ideal for someone with several years of experience who can work independently and support junior technicians while maintaining high-quality standards.
Pay: $20-35/hr for Technician
Increased pay for On-call work
Sales Commission available
Performance bonuses available

50% of Health Insurance covered
Company vehicle or mileage.



Key Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Generators

• Perform routine maintenance and tune-ups to ensure systems operate efficiently.

• Diagnose equipment issues and recommend solutions or repairs.

• Test generators for proper functionality and ensure compliance with safety and code standards.

• Assist in the layout and installation of new generators

• Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and parts inventory.

• Communicate clearly with customers regarding work performed and any additional needs.

• Provide guidance and support to apprentices or entry-level technicians as needed.

• Follow company safety policies and all OSHA regulations.

• Perform basic maintenance, tune-ups, and servicing of residential or commercial generators as needed.


Qualifications

• 0+ years of experience in Generator install/repair

• Experience working with gas lines and performing safe gas piping installations or inspections.

• Some knowledge or hands-on experience with generator maintenance and tune-ups preferred.

• Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. • Good communication and customer service skills.

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in varied environments (indoors, outdoors, tight spaces, heights).
