Position Summary 

The Lobby Advisor is the first point of contact for our members and plays a key role in delivering a seamless, relationship-focused experience. While this position performs traditional teller transactions, it goes beyond the transaction by actively engaging with members, identifying needs, and connecting them to solutions that improve their financial well-being.

This is an entry-level position designed for individuals who are curious, people-focused, and ready to grow. The Lobby Advisor is expected to introduce relevant products and services, create awareness of available solutions, and partner with Member Service Advisors to deepen member relationships.

Essential Functions

  • Provide prompt, accurate, and professional processing of member transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, and other service requests. 
  • Create a welcoming and engaging experience for every member, ensuring they feel valued and supported. 
  • Actively listen and ask thoughtful questions to identify member needs during interactions. 
  • Introduce and recommend relevant Credit Union products and services based on member needs. 
  • Make warm handoffs to Member Service Advisors by clearly communicating member needs and setting the stage for deeper conversations. 
  • Educate members on Credit Union services, policies, and available solutions in a clear and engaging way. 
  • Take ownership of the member experience from initial interaction through resolution or referral.
  • Maintain knowledge of Credit Union products, services, and current promotions. 
  • Support branch and organizational goals by contributing to relationship growth and member engagement. 
  • Perform as a team member in coordinating workflow and supporting branch operations. 
  • Comply with all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. 
  • Maintain flexibility to support business needs, including scheduled hours and Saturday rotations.

Education and Experience

  • A high school education.
  • Previous retail, customer service, or financial institution experience preferred.

Knowledge and Abilities

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Comfortable initiating conversations and making recommendations to members. 
  • Demonstrates curiosity and a proactive approach to helping members. 
  • Ability to recognize opportunities to introduce products and services in a natural, member-focused way. 
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy. 
  • Basic mathematical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to learn and navigate multiple systems and technology platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bondability is required of all employees. Background and Credit check will be conducted prior to employment.

Physical Requirements

  • While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. 
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include the ability to see up close and at a distance; color, peripheral, and depth vision; and the ability to adjust focus.

Position Requirements

  • Core operating hours of 7:45 AM to 5:15 PM Monday – Thursday (5:45 PM Friday), with occasional Saturday shifts of 8:45 AM to 12:15 PM. Travel and time spent outside office may be required.
  • Requirement to be bonded. Successful background check including personal credit report and criminal record.
