Job description

Job Details:

This position is responsible for entry level non-skilled general labor while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. This position could work in any department of the Processing, Harvest or Rendering facility.

TASKS

Tasks include standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, reaching and lifting. Must be willing to push, pull, carry and lift up to 50 lbs. Work environment temperatures fluctuate with outdoor weather conditions and may range from extreme cold to extreme heat. For example: Harvest can range from 60-96 degrees and Processing can range from 32-48 degrees. Must be willing to use hands and arms above shoulder level and standing 8-10 hours a day. The successful candidate must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

ATTENTION

Processing: These positions will involve use of a knife and hook to bone out or trim large pieces of product or involve the use of powered equipment such as saws or skinner machines.

Harvest: These positions will involve the use of a knife and hook to remove hide from cattle, trim large pieces of product or run heavy pieces of equipment. Some positions may involve the use of powered equipment such as air knives, whizard knives, saws, steam vacs and skinner machines.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must be willing to perform position tasks. In addition, must be available to work all shifts, including weekends and available for overtime.
