Department: Gaming Commission Surveillance


Position to be filled:   Surveillance Agent 


Required Qualifications/Essential Duties:

  • Must be able to obtain a California Gaming License and maintain throughout employment
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Advises on gaming violations, criminal activity or persons associated with criminal activity;
  • Reports violations of policy, law or procedures involving Indian Gaming;
  • Conducts surveillance on all cash operations, theft, loss or violations of the integrity of gaming;
  • Must be knowledgeable in the conduct of all games offered by the Casino;
  • Must be knowledgeable in all areas of casino internal controls, policies and procedures, Federal and Tribal Gaming Regulations and compact requirements;
  • Must be proficient in the operations, maintenance and minor repair of all surveillance related equipment;
  • Plans surveillance operations to prevent theft, loss or integrity of gaming;
  • Monitors activities of patrons and employees to assist in ensuring compliance with laws, regulations and internal controls;
  • Monitors the facility to assist in ensuring that the safety, health and security of patrons and employees are protected;
  • Other duties as assigned;
  • Drive company or personal vehicles to conduct business on behalf of the Surveillance Department.

Reports To: Supervisor
Starting Rate of Pay:              $19.50 per hour (Non-Exempt)
Approximate Hours:               40+ hours per week
