Head Baseball Coach - Tanque Verde High School
Tanque Verde High School is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Head Baseball Coach. Previous coaching experience is preferred. The ideal candidate will promote sportsmanship, leadership, and positive character development among student-athletes while maintaining a safe and supportive team environment.
Responsibilities include supervising students during practices, games, locker room activities, team travel, and all other team-related functions throughout the season. The coach must demonstrate patience, professionalism, diplomacy, and effective communication in interactions with players, parents, colleagues, officials, and spectators.
Interscholastic athletics are considered an extension of the classroom; therefore, all conduct and interactions with student-athletes should reflect the educational values and standards of the school.
All head coaches must possess one of the following:
  • A valid Arizona Teaching Certificate
  • An Arizona Coaching Certificate
  • OR completion of the following National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) online requirements at NFHS Learn within 45 days of hire:
    • Fundamentals of Coaching
    • Sport-Specific Course
    • First Aid/CPR Certification
    • Fingerprint Clearance Card
