We are looking for safety-orientated people to play a key part in keeping their highways and communities safe.
This is an exceptional entry-level opportunity to join a long-term stable industry. We are providing a fully funded opportunity for select individuals to upgrade their G class driver license to a DZ driver license, enabling them to join Ledcor and support winter and summer operations across the province.
This training will provide a paid opportunity to help you acquire your DZ license and develop the skills necessary to become a safe and competent winter snowplow operator. This opportunity may lead to full-time or seasonal employment. Interested in applying? The minimum qualifications include:

  • 18+ years of age
  • Possess a minimum Class 5 License without restrictions and a clean driver's abstract
  • Able to pass an MTO medical exam and vision screening exam (necessary to obtain AZ/DZ license)
  • Safety-oriented with a commitment to quality
  • Able to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 50lbs, stand

Approved applicants must commit to a minimum employment term.

Highway maintenance includes working in various weather patterns. Shift work, on-call, and night shift will be required.

Compensation

$20.00 - $22.00 per hour

This is the applicable wage range for this position. Individuals will be assigned a base wage within this range based on trade certification and/or apprenticeship level, industry experience, and work location.

Remote, site-based positions may be eligible for additional incentives including but not limited to travel and accommodation allowances.
