Position : ETL Tester With Automation
Location : St. Louis, MO
Duration : 6 + Months Contract to Hire
Job Description :
Walk me through the day-to-day responsibilities of this the role and a description of the project (Outside of Workday JD):

  • Meeting with the BAs, ETL Developers and Business Team members to determine quality assurance (QA) requirements.
  • Writing SQL queries to understand data to be tested. Developing test SQL scripts and test cases.
  • Designing QA strategies. Performing various types of tests such as unit test, SIT, etc.
  • Performing end-to-end testing, regression testing, and load & volume testing.
  • Using testing tools such as qTest, HP ALM, Tasca, etc.
  • Logging defects, following up and resolving them.
  • Validating data post implementations in test and production environments.
  • Presenting quality assurance (QA) reports.
  • Participating in Agile teams that use methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.

Required Skills:
Advanced SQL skills,
Experience in developing test strategies,
Developing test plans and test cases,
Agile experience,
Experience in automated testing
Developing QA reports.
Understanding of ETL processes, CDC, Slowly changing Dimensions, Data Integrity, and general Database concepts.
Communication and presentation skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in Teradata data warehouse
Experience in Healthcare industry.
Knowledge of automation tools such as iCEDQ, TOSCA Automation Tool, Informatica DVO or knowledge in developing any simple automation tools.
Cloud experience a plus.
Experience in data profiling
Informatica Development Exposure
Knowledge of SDLC and STLC life cycle,
Working with Teradata, Oracle, etc., RDBMS systems.
Knowledge of Python, PySpark, or Java programming.
