Industrial Service and Installation (ISI), Inc.

Job Title: Tool Crib Attendant

Department: Manufacturing

Reports to: Shop Manager

Summary

The Tool Crib Attendant is responsible for all inventory related tasks for the shop and field. This position requires someone with experience and knowledge of industrial equipment, parts, and tools. A successful candidate must have the ability to maintain inventory, organize equipment, parts, and tools, as well as diagnose and properly repair power tools, such as drills, grinders, saws, etc.as needed.

Success Criteria & Measurement

  • Performs all work in a timely manner
  • Safely uses all equipment, such as tools, overhead cranes, forklifts, etc.
  • Works as part of the team helping in other areas as needed, such as Material Handling, Paint, etc.
  • Understand and use various industrial parts, tools, and equipment
  • Work with limited supervision and in a clean and organized manner

Responsibilities

  • Receives shipments, confirms counts and inspects for damages
  • Loading and unloading trucks using pallet jacks, forklifts, and overhead cranes
  • Ensuring that ISI company trucks and onboard tools are properly signed out, checked in, and periodically audited
  • Assembling company toolkits and ensuring they are signed out, checked in, and periodically audited
  • Diagnosing and properly repairing power tools, such as drills, grinders, saws, etc.
  • General housekeeping of parts and tools in the crib and other assigned areas
  • Occasionally making deliveries to customer/job sites
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to complete the essential functions of this position: stand, walk, climb, crouch, stoop, kneel and, bend
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at a time on a regular basis
  • Operating tools, performing mechanical or skilled trade tasks
  • The position is subject to environmental conditions and many work outside work in all weather conditions

Qualifications

  • High School degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience working with industrial mechanical equipment, parts, and tools
  • Strong organizational skills required
  • Ability to work weekends and overtime as needed
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
  • Computer literacy required
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
