Job description

This vacancy is for a GS-1801-13, Third Party Oversight Coordinator located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, SECTOR NEW YORK INSPECTIONS DIVISION in STATEN ISLAND, New York.
Qualifications:

To qualify at the GS-13 grade level, your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include performing the following types of tasks on a regular basis.

  • Experience leading audits of U.S. flagged vessels that participate in alternate inspection and quality programs.
  • Experience leading the implementation of inspection policies and procedures for new international conventions and standards, U.S. laws and regulations, industry standards.
  • Experience serving as a subject matter expert in conducting and leading inspections of all vessel systems determining and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
