Team & Culture

We are currently seeking a temporary Quality Control Field Inspection Assistant to support a project in the Castlegar area of the West Kootenays BC. This opportunity is well suited for students, recent graduates, or entry-level professionals looking to gain hands-on field experience in construction quality control and inspections.

The successful candidate will be someone comfortable with a fast pace & dynamic environment. They will be able to adapt well under pressure, be self-motivated and take direction well. Being a team player and having strong communication skills is a must. Successful candidates will assist with field inspections along canal areas to help verify that construction work is being completed according to inspection requirements and project procedures. This role involves outdoor field work, documentation, and working closely with the project team. No extensive technical experience is required. Training will be provided, including onboarding, site orientation, and Fall Arrest training prior to starting field work.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with QC field inspections along canal infrastructure
  • Walk and navigate canal areas safely during inspections
  • Record and organize inspection information accurately
  • Follow established procedures and quality control requirements
  • Support the project team with basic administration and document control tasks
  • Help verify completed work prior to review by senior team members and the client
  • Maintain safe work practices at all times

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to follow procedures and complete accurate documentation
  • Comfortable performing outdoor physical field work
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Availability to work day and night shifts
