Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Access Operations in Sandston, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor access points and alarm activity, and provide outstanding customer service. Using strong communication and technology skills, you will support a welcoming environment while working with a reliable, innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, exterior areas, parking locations, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues.
  • Monitor access points and support visitor, employee, and vendor entry procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.
  • Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications while maintaining a professional presence.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with CPR and First Aid is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
