D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Division IT Support. The right candidate will provide computer (hardware and software), printer, copier, and phone support for the division. Supporting users, model homes, sales centers, and division offices with networking, internet connectivity, and technology needs
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Provide support to users on all applications, including:
  • Microsoft Windows Enterprise.
  • Windows Server Experience
  • Web / Internet based applications and services
  • Active Directory/Active Roles
  • AS/400 - JD Edwards
  • Microsoft Office / 365 application
  • Microsoft Teams
  • Other software used throughout the division once trained.
  • Complete work orders, fully documenting each step of the troubleshooting process.
  • Provides technical training to peers on an as needed basis.
  • Strong customer service skills required

Maintains division IT hardware including:
  • Laptops and Tablets
  • Wireless mobile devices such as mobile phones and cell cards
  • Printers and copiers
  • Division network hardware and servers
  • Software applications used by the division.
  • Provide system accessibility to all users, with minimal downtime, including sales and construction offices.
  • Audio / Visual and Video Conference Hardware.

Manage computer software and hardware inventory, including maintenance and upgrades and replacement when necessary. Also includes working with vendors to procure necessary equipment and software.
Must have knowledge in the areas of networking principles, network security, wiring, and server maintenance. In order to maximize network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades, addressing questions about technical problems, improving efficiency by evaluating system network functions, and collaborating with regional IT and corporate network team on network optimization.
Administer all user accounts and groups on all systems. This includes setting up new users, changes to user accounts and termination of accounts upon employee separation.
Work with divisional, regional, and corporate staff to meet the IT needs of the divisions.
Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
  • One to two years of related experience and/or training
  • Proficient in latest technology for IT systems
  • Excellent organizational skills and provide attention to detail
  • Superb analytical skills
  • Knowledge of computer security practices
  • Ability to train and deliver effective and engaging presentations to a variety of audiences
  • Proficiency with MS Office and email

  • Ability to multi-task and attention to detail

Schedule: Full-Time, In Office
Travel Requirements
This position will be based in the Hilton Head-Savannah division of the Coastal Carolina Region. Travel will be required in the division and region. The division encompasses areas from Jasper County to just south of Brunswick, GA. Must have the ability to work overtime as needed. Must have the ability to travel within the region and stay overnight as needed. Regular and reliable in-office attendance is required.
