We are seeking a qualified Entry-, Junior-, or Mid-Level Financial Analyst in Arlington, VA. This position is not eligible for hybrid or remote work situations. This is a 100% on-site, in-office position.

Position Description:

The selectee will perform as the Decision Technologies Financial Analyst for a US Navy Weapons Engineering and Program Acquisition Support contract.

YOU MUST BE ELIGIBLE FOR A DOD SECRET CLEARANCE

Responsibilities

* Providing advice and technical assistance in the preparation of annual budgets

* Measure organizational performance; assess the effects of various programs and policies on the budget

* Examine budget estimates or proposals for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with established procedures, regulations, and organizational objectives

* Examine past and current budgets and research economic and financial developments that affect the organization's spending

* Coordinate financial activities across various stakeholders

* Manage finances across multiple funding types

* Track budgets, costs, and variances

* Produce executive summaries

* Conduct financial reporting and analysis of financial issues and customer requirements

* Interpret and apply financial management principles

* Apply financial management processes, techniques, policies, regulations and organizational strategic goals

Required Qualifications

* Entry-Level: Some education in pursuit of a business or finance career.

* Junior-Level: 1-3 years' experience as a financial analyst

* Mid-Level: 4-10 years' experience as a contracts or program analyst for a Government program office

Desired Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline

* Direct experience as a financial analyst with NAVSEA or PEO IWS program offices

* An active SECRET clearance

* Knowledge of Navy-specific financial systems such as ERP, MSIL, and NEPS

* Experience working with financial actions and task tracking for ACAT-1/2/3 acquisition programs.

* Ability to work effectively with team members and subcontractors from various technical, acquisition, and administrative disciplines

* Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills

* Ability to develop and deliver coherent and concise customer presentations

Travel Requirements:

* Limited travel requirements (<10%)
