Apprentice Technician
Classification
Non-Exempt
Job Summary
The Apprentice Technician is an entry-level position in the technical field. This position will work under the supervision of experienced technicians to gain hands-on experience and learn the necessary skills to become a fully qualified technician. During this period, while under the age of 18, this position will not be able to drive or operate vehicles and or lifts. The day-to-day tasks of an apprentice technician may include:
Essential Functions
  • Assisting in maintenance and repair tasks
  • Maintaining and repairing vehicles
  • Conducting routine inspections with videos and photos for the customer
  • Assisting in carrying out diagnostic tests
  • Undertaking general repair work
  • Undertaking statutory training as may be required manufacturer

Qualifications
High school student currently enrolled in a CTE program related to auto technicians
