Your Responsibilities
  • Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and creating personalized care plans
  • Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, and chronic conditions in collaboration with physicians or independently, depending on your credentials
  • Educating patients and their families on prevention strategies, wellness, and effective management of diseases
  • Prescribing medications and treatments consistent with your scope of practice
  • Participating in follow-up care and long-term health management
  • Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to guarantee cohesive, comprehensive care
  • Accurately documenting all aspects of patient interactions within electronic medical records (EMR)
Qualifications Required
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
  • Completion of a Nurse Practitioner program accredited by the appropriate authorities
Licenses and Certifications
  • Active Nurse Practitioner license in New Mexico
