Job description

Multiple positions open on Construction projects for entry level engineers and experienced construction professionals with various certifications for construction engineering inspections. Please apply in confidence with detailed resume of qualifications and experience and desired salary. Salaries are determined based on education, experience, and certifications. Proper training is provided by the A1 Consulting Group for your career advancement and long term employment with the Company.

Desired Qualifications:

Proficiency in MS Office Suite applications, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and other engineering and graphic software

· Strong English communication skills for speaking and writing with clients

· Driven personality who is interested in Civil engineering and Environmental engineering related fields, Construction management, Special inspections, and Materials testing (Familiarity with ASTM and AASHTO standards a plus)

· Legal to work on Government projects and with clean criminal background (background checks and drug tests are required)

· Valid driver license and independent transportation

· Ability to carry up to 60 pounds of weight on site for inspections and testing

Duties and Role: Selected candidate will work under the direct supervision of experienced Construction Managers, Licensed Geologists, and Professional Engineers. During the first year of employment, person will go through extensive training and orientation programs that will be geared towards: construction inspections on public projects, laboratory testing of soils, concrete, and other materials, geotechnical drilling monitoring and field logs preparation, preparing engineering reports from field inspections, preparing engineering proposals, minor CAD drawings, computerized boring logs and geotechnical reports, environmental site surveys and reports preparation, and some civil engineering designs. Candidates will be sent to NCDOT and other Institutions to obtain certifications and licenses in various inspection and testing fields. Upon successful completion of training programs, candidates will be recommended to work on Public / Private building and infrastructure projects.
