Residential Trainer/Instructor - LaFayette, GA
Status: Part-Time
Pay: Starting at $16.00/hr
Shift: Evenings and weekends
Type: Entry-Level
VOA Southeast is seeking to hire passionate care givers to provide direct care/support for the individuals in our program!
Function:
The Residential Trainer Instructor provides supervision, instruction, encouragement and reinforcement to individuals we support with a focus on their right to be treated with dignity and respect.
Know How:
This position requires a person eighteen (18) years of age or older with a high school diploma or GED.
This position provides life enhancement assistance to persons served as specified in Individual Service Plans. The Residential Trainer documents daily progress notes, attainment of Individual Service Plan goals and incidents in an accurate, thorough and timely manner. The Residential Trainer monitors behavior and mental status of persons served, notifying the Program Manager of changes.
The Residential Trainer must be able to establish rapport with individuals, family members, friends, and other natural supports to ensure comprehensive coordination. The employee must possess a high level of written communication skills, a valid Georgia driver's license and the ability to continuously meet the requirements of VOA Southeast's vehicle insurance company. The Residential Trainer must also be able to pass all required training courses including but not limited to First Aid, CPR and CPI, and VOASE Policies amp; Procedures.
The Residential Trainer assists individuals with daily living skills such as:
Coaching
Cooking
Cleaning
Assisting with medication administration
Providing transportation to doctor appointments and recreational activities.
