Job description

Title: Junior Estimator
Location: DMV & Eastern Shore
Job Status: Exempt
Pay: $75,000 - $80,000
Position Summary
Anchor Construction is seeking a Junior Estimator to join our growing team. This entry-level role supports the estimating department by assisting with quantity takeoffs, pricing, subcontractor coordination, and bid preparation for civil construction projects, including utilities, concrete, earthwork, drainage, and roadway work.
Key Responsibilities
• Review plans, specifications, and bid documents
• Assist with quantity takeoffs and cost estimates
• Obtain and track subcontractor/vendor quotes
• Support bid preparation and proposal submissions
• Maintain estimating files and project cost data
• Attend pre-bid meetings and occasional site visits
Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED required; Construction Management or Engineering education preferred
• 0-2 years of estimating or construction experience
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
