Salary Range: $82,000 - $140,000 annually

Join a Leader in the Steel Industry
Seaport Steel and Oregon Metal Services are seeking an experienced Outside Sales Representative to grow existing accounts and develop new business throughout Western Washington. This role is ideal for a motivated sales professional with structural steel sales experience who enjoys building relationships, solving customer challenges, and driving growth.
What You'll Do
  • Grow existing accounts and develop new business opportunities
  • Build strong customer relationships through in-person visits, video meetings, and phone calls
  • Promote value-added services, inventory programs, and cost-saving solutions
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers
  • Partner with warehouse, logistics, and inside sales teams to ensure exceptional service
  • Resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally
  • Travel throughout the territory to strengthen customer relationships and identify opportunities
  • Track customer activity and opportunities in Microsoft Teams
  • Share market insights and sales updates with leadership

Qualifications
Required
  • 1-3 years of structural steel sales experience
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a sales territory
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory
Preferred
  • Experience with a steel service center, metals distributor, fabricator, or construction supplier
  • Knowledge of structural steel products and applications

  • Experience working for a steel service center, metals distributor, fabricator, or construction-related supplier
  • Knowledge of structural steel products and applications
  • Experience coordinating with operations, purchasing, and logistics teams to support customer needs
