Job description

Falkofske Engineering, Inc., located in Arlington, Texas, has a position open for a near graduate or already graduated structural and/or geo/structural engineering students. The position involves detailing, analysis, and design work. The position is an excellent opportunity to learn and develop structural engineering and geo/structural engineering skills.

Falkofske Engineering, Inc. is highly recognized throughout south, mid-west, and eastern United States for its expertise in soil retention design (retaining walls) and slope stability analysis. We are also highly involved in residential foundation and framing (wood) design for a number of home builders, hardscape and site structure design, and commercial foundation and framing design.

Our goal is the continued growth of the firm.


Applicant should have the following:

  • Good attitude and focused work ethic required.
  • Good communication skills are required. The position will require collaboration with other members of the firm and communication with clients.
  • Some Autocad experience required.
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Applicant must indicate that they intend to make consulting structural and/or geo/structural engineering their profession after graduation.
  • Applicant must indicate that they intend to pursue a Master’s Degree in structural engineering after graduation.
  • Applicant must indicate that they intend to take and pass the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (E.I.T) at time of graduation, or already have obtained E.I.T. certificate.
  • Applicant must present a transcript of all classes taken. It will be held in confidence during the selection period and then destroyed or returned.
  • Applicant must be a US citizen or permanent resident. Company will not sponsor H1-B or STEM-OPT.
