For the right candidate, being a member of the GRAEF Structural group will provide opportunities to:
  • Design and analyze structural systems for a wide variety of building types and materials.
  • Apply applicable building codes, design standards, and industry best practices.
  • Prepare structural calculations, technical reports, and construction documents under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Assist with shop drawing review, submittal review, and RFI responses during construction.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in project meetings.
  • Assist with BIM modeling and drafting in Revit, including drawing production and model coordination with other disciplines.
  • Participate in field investigations, site visits, and existing condition assessments.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment focused on technical excellence, client service, and professional growth.

We are considering entry level Structural Engineer candidates to join our team who possess the following basic qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a structural emphasis required.
  • Master's degree and EIT certification or progress toward PE licensure preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in structural design of buildings. Steel and concrete building design experience is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Revit and having experience in various structural engineering software programs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and project teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
