Job description

To help us drive excellence, you’ll get to:

·         Evaluates production set-ups to ensure that quality requirements are met.

·         Assists and trains production floor personnel in the use of statistical techniques.

·         Assists and trains production floor personnel in the use of gauges and fixtures.

·         Evaluates floor associate’s documentation for compliance and reports findings.

·         Conducts audits of corrective actions.

·         Conducts LPA audits as assigned.

·         Conducts gauge and fixture studies as required.

·         Assist with basic gauge and fixture repair as well as calibration.

·         Provides support in solving production floor issues.

·         Records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures.

·         Ability to perform basic weld destructs and inspections.

·         Travels to customers and suppliers as necessary.

·         Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.

·         Performs all duties and operates machinery & equipment according to MIOSHA standards and company procedures using required safety equipment (gloves, sleeves, ear plugs, etc.)

·         Punctual and regular attendance is required.

·          Able and willing to work any shift assigned.

·         Keeps work areas clean and orderly.

·         Participates in continuous improvement activities.

·         Assumes other duties as directed by supervisor.

This Full-Time, hourly role is a part of our Autokiniton - Belleville Plant 2 team and reports to the Quality Supervisor.


Required Skills
Required Experience

Education and/or Experience: 

High school Diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
