Job Purpose:
- The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) at Costellos Ace is responsible for learning and executing the essential duties of a store manager. This position is designed to prepare individuals to effectively manage store operations, drive sales, ensure customer satisfaction, and lead a team to achieve business goals. The SMIT will gain hands-on experience and develop leadership skills necessary for the role of a Store Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the management of daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Learn and apply strategies to drive sales and increase profitability.
- Support the Store Manager in maintaining inventory levels and ensuring product availability.
- Participate in training programs to develop skills in customer service, merchandising, and team leadership.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional customer service and resolve customer inquiries and issues.
- Assist in recruiting, training, and developing store staff to enhance team performance.
- Analyze sales reports and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
- Work closely with the Store Manager to develop and execute promotional strategies.
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment to enhance the shopping experience for customers.

Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field is preferred.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a retail environment, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing store operations effectively.
- Experience in training and developing staff to enhance team performance and customer service.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving business objectives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers, staff, and management.
- Proficient in inventory management and merchandising to optimize store layout and product placement.
