Job description

Job Title: MIG/Stick Welder
Job Description

The MIG/Stick Welder will be responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints and weld symbols to perform MIG and Stick welding on steel. Candidates must pass a MIG weld test, which includes demonstrating the ability to set up a welding machine after it has been zeroed out. The welding tasks will involve working with steel materials ranging from 20 gauge to 5/8 inch thickness.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols accurately.
  • Perform MIG and Stick welding on steel of various thicknesses.
  • Set up and adjust welding machines as required.
  • Pass a basic MIG flat welding test.
  • Ensure high-quality welding standards are maintained.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in MIG welding and Stick welding.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Experience with welding steel ranging from 20 gauge to 5/8 inch.
  • Capability to read a tape measure.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Entry-level candidates with relevant schooling are welcome.
