Nationwide's Enterprise Risk & Advanced Analytics (ERAA) team partners with business unit and corporate functions to help ensure that Nationwide's risk profile is well understood, effectively managed, and Nationwide's capital position is strong. Enterprise Risk Management functions include: Investment Risk Management, Asset Liability Management, Operational Risk Management, Risk & Capital Reporting, Enterprise Model Risk Management, Enterprise Risk & Capital Modeling, Enterprise Analytics Office as well as matrixed relationships with the Nationwide Financial and Property & Casualty Actuarial offices.

Job Description

As an Enterprise Risk Management Intern, expect an exciting, challenging experience where you learn something new every day. Expect to be developed by a group of associates who combine support with a strong work ethic. Expect an experience that will kick start your career in the financial services industry and risk management field.

The Nationwide Intern Program is a 12-week summer internship in Columbus, Ohio that provides participants with opportunities to gain valuable experience in risk management. You'll receive the chance to work in and learn about the various areas and functions of enterprise risk management, such as model risk management, risk modeling, operational risk management, risk reporting, risk governance, risk data and analytics. Our interns are strongly considered for future full-time positions.

Skills/Qualifications Desired

  • Students pursuing degrees in the following academic fields: Risk Management, Finance, Economics, Data Science, Business Administration, Statistics, within 2-3 semesters of graduation

  • Superior academic achievement (minimum 3.0 GPA)

  • Experiences that demonstrate leadership qualities

  • Ability to think strategically and critically
