Job Description:

About the Role

We are hiring an Entry Level Business Intelligence Analyst-Marketing to join our Business Intelligence team.

This role sits at the intersection of data engineering, pricing strategy, costing, and AI to help drive decisions that directly impact pricing, customer strategy, and revenue.

This is not a traditional reporting role. Ideal candidates should:

  • Be naturally curious, question assumptions and be willing to learn
  • Break complex problems into structured components
  • Be comfortable working in ambiguity and building clarity

What You'll Work On

  • Design and analyze business data that power pricing, quoting, and marketing decisions across Microchip
  • Apply statistical thinking to evaluate performance, pricing strategies, and customer behavior
  • Partner with leaders to translate business questions into strategic solutions
  • Develop scalable pipelines and workflows using Python, SQL, and data platforms (e.g., Databricks)
  • Use LLMs to accelerate analysis, automate workflows, and improve decision quality
  • Identify and proactively fix gaps in data, logic, or assumptions

Requirements/Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or STEM related field
  • 1-3 years of hands-on experience in data analysis, data engineering, or statistics
  • Strong Python (Pandas, data manipulation, automation), SQL skills (data modeling, transformations)
  • Experience working with large, messy datasets
  • Experience with Excel for data validation, BI Tools (Tableau or similar) for visualization & analysis

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Databricks, or distributed data systems
  • Background in statistics, with experimentation and inference testing
  • Exposure to data engineering concepts (pipelines and orchestration)
  • Experience applying AI (Claude Code/Codex/ML Models) for automation, or workflow acceleration
  • Exposure to semiconductor data, pricing, or marketing analytics
  • Experience building end-to-end solutions (data analysis decision output)
