Company Description

The Business Systems Analyst plays a critical role in aligning ministry and departmental needs with effective technology solutions. This position is responsible for gathering and documenting requirements, analyzing business processes and supporting systems, evaluating solution options, and helping guide implementation efforts that improve efficiency, scalability, and service delivery across the organization.  

This position will have visibility at all levels of CCV Staff and will play an integral role in our Software Selection Panel which requires the ability to navigate dependencies in a rapidly growing organization. 

The ideal candidate is an analytical and collaborative professional who can communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical executive stakeholders and contribute to solutions that support CCV's mission and long-term growth. 

Job Description
  • Partner with ministry leaders, department heads, and subject matter experts to understand operational goals, challenges, and opportunities for improvement. 

  • Lead ministry and departmental requirements gathering efforts through interviews, workshops, process reviews, and documentation of functional and non-functional requirements. 

  • Analyze current business processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies, gaps, redundancies, and opportunities for automation or system enhancement. 

  • Translate business and ministry needs into clear requirements, process maps, user stories, specifications, and recommendations for technical teams and solution providers. 

  • Conduct systems and infrastructure analysis to evaluate how applications, integrations, data flows, and supporting technologies align with organizational needs and future growth. 

  • Assess the impact of proposed changes across systems, infrastructure, security, and user experience to help ensure reliable and sustainable solutions. 

  • Prepare and deliver leadership-facing presentations that clearly communicate software product costs, capabilities, anticipated return on investment, and the operational and ministry benefits the solution will provide to CCV. 

  • Collaborate with developers, administrators, vendors, and project stakeholders to support solution design, testing, implementation, and post-launch optimization. 

  • Assist in evaluating software platforms, integrations, and technology tools to determine best fit for ministry and business needs. 

  • Support user acceptance testing, issue identification, documentation, training, and change adoption activities. 

  • Maintain clear documentation for requirements, process flows, configuration decisions, and system changes. 

  • Monitor solution effectiveness and recommend continuous improvements that enhance service delivery, efficiency, and organizational impact.

Education & Experience 

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 

  • Experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role involving cross-functional requirements gathering and systems analysis. 

  • Strong ability to gather, document, and communicate business, ministry, and technical requirements clearly and effectively. 

  • Demonstrated experience analyzing business processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and recommending technology-enabled solutions. 

  • Working knowledge of enterprise applications, integrations, data flows, and core infrastructure concepts. 

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills. 

  • Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical executive stakeholders in a collaborative, service-oriented environment. 

  • Experience with cloud-based systems is a plus, with experience working in Microsoft Azure highly desired. 

  • Strong familiarity with project delivery practices such as Agile methodologies is preferred.
