Description

Our customer is looking for a SQL DBA (infrastructure) that can sit in either Fort Wayne, IN or Coppell, TX. 6 month contract to hire. 4 days onsite and 1 day remote.

This position is responsible for enterprise database design, configuration, implementation, maintenance, and support in a Microsoft SQL environment.

โ€ขInstall and configure Microsoft SQL Server software and related products

โ€ขPerform the database design and implementation of database data models

โ€ขImplement and maintain database security, including creating and maintaining users and roles

โ€ขPerform database maintenance and application/database performance tuning

โ€ขMaintain and monitor all database servers to ensure system availability

โ€ขEstablish and maintain backup and recovery policies and procedures and perform all database data backup and restoration procedures and functions

โ€ขProvide Tier 2 / Tier 3 and 24/7 technical support

โ€ขInterface with Microsoft for SQL Server technical support

โ€ขProvide general consultation to Application Development regarding database design and development

โ€ขCreate and maintain database documentation and standards

โ€ขPerform database capacity planning

โ€ขEvaluate Microsoft SQL Server features and related products

โ€ขAnalyze and review the database components of vendor software packages
