Job description

To provide high quality strength, conditioning and sports specific training for individuals, small groups and teams. Programs are designed for athletes and community members of all ages and skill level (including collegiatte, semi-professional and professional athletes). To provide comprehensive assessments, screenings, exercise prescription, injury prevention and education within an elite athetic performance training center. To maintain and/or seek advanced educational opportunities consistent with high level athletic performance training and remain current with industry trends.
Requirements:
• High school graduate or equivalent
• 3 years experience
• CPR certified within 90 days of hire
• Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist within 6 months of hire
• Personal Trainer ? Certified within 6 months of hire
Major Responsibilities:
  1. Provides strength and conditioning and sport specific training to teams, small groups, individuals and community groups as outlined in programs.
  2. Understands pre-season, in-season and post season strength and conditioning programs and sport specific criteria to maintain maximum physical conditioning for all age levels.
  3. Provides a comprehensive assessment and evaluation to identify overall strength, movement, screen for dysfunction and provide education in injury prevention.
  4. May assist in the clinic as a rehab support staff member under the direction of a therapist. Renders first aid when appropriate.
  5. Makes appropriate referrals to hospital, physician or other healthcare personnel. May participate in lectures, conferences and community events as needed.
  6. Collaborates with other personnel and works under the supervision of the Sports Performance Coordinator. Follows program guidelines and expectations as outlined.
  7. Maintains proper certifications and competencies. Attends departmental meetings and training seminars.
  8. Promotes and designs programs, services and works to generate leads to promote facility services and programs through marketing efforts.
  9. Assists with record keeping and data entry.
  10. Performs all other duties as assigned or requested.
