General Accountabilities: 

  • Responsible for the operations and maintenance of equipment to provide utilities such as light, heating, air conditioning, building, and room maintenance.  
  • Inspects equipment at periodic intervals to detect malfunctions or need for repair, adjustment, or lubrication. 
  • Responsible for all general maintenance and repair of minor problems throughout the building as directed by a supervisor. 
  • Ensures adherence to OSHA regulations and internal safety policies and procedures. 
  • Performs minor structural repairs including sheet rock, doors, trim, and plumbing. 
  • Reports inventories and work schedules to maintenance supervisor every day. 
  • Conducts preventative maintenance. 
  • Performs scheduled and nonscheduled repair, maintenance and installation of machinery, tools, equipment and/or associated equipment to ensure continuous and safe operation of the property 
  • Directly or indirectly supports the installation, maintenance and repair of HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems and water distribution, including fire suppression and sewerage facilities

Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED): or combination of experience and training preferred. 
  • Must have a valid drivers license. 
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals and direct activities of hotel maintenance mechanics. 
  • Ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, and walk throughout the duration of shift. 
  • Excel both independently and as part of a team.  
  • Ability to tolerate second-hand smoke, noise, and bright lights.  
  • Ability to work at a fast pace in often crowded/noisy environment.
