Systems Engineer – SISR Program Location: Aurora, CO (Onsite)
Type: contract or contract-to-hire
Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 with full Government benefits
Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI required prior to start (U.S. Citizenship required) Overview We have an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer supporting a premier program
within the Space Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (SISR) business unit.
This role will leverage your expertise in systems engineering, requirements management,
architecture, and interface control in support of mission-critical space systems. This position is fully onsite in Aurora, CO. What You Will Do • Analyze and define system functionality, including creation of use cases • Decompose requirements and define system interfaces • Support requirements validation and verification planning with test teams • Provide engineering support for execution of test programs, including: • Test processes • Baseline definition • Test architecture design • Support regression testing across deliverable releases • Participate in technical reviews and technical interchanges • Contribute to systems engineering lifecycle activities across the program Qualifications – Required • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) • Minimum 2+ years of prior relevant systems engineering experience • Experience in systems engineering lifecycle roles and functions • Experience in one or more of the following: • Concept of Operations (ConOps) development , • Requirements definition and management • Functional analysis • Interface definition and control • Experience supporting a government contract in a systems engineering capacity • Experience working in an Agile environment, including Agile systems engineering practices • Active and transferable TS/SCI clearance required prior to start date • U.S. Citizenship required Preferred Qualifications • Experience in mission management ground systems or space-based platforms • Experience working in Agile development environments using tools such as: • Jira • Confluence • Bitbucket • Experience with MBSE tools (e.g., Cameo Systems Modeler) • Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS or similar databases)
