Campus Employment Office Assistant

Division: Human Resources Department: Campus Employment

Experience: Entry-level Job Code: TBD

Supervisor/Reports To: Sonia Smith Start Date: 8/25/2025

The Student Office Worker provides administrative and clerical support to the Campus Employment and HR team. This role helps maintain accurate employee records, assists with onboarding, and ensures smooth daily office operations through communication and attention to detail. The position contributes to recruitment visibility and supports special projects as needed.

  1. Answer phones and direct calls to appropriate staff in a professional manner - C, P
  2. Greet visitors and provide a welcoming, professional first impression of the department - C, P
  3. Organize and maintain employee files (physical and digital) while protecting confidential information - CT, P
  4. Copy, scan, and fax documents to support HR administrative workflows - T, P
  5. Schedule appointments and coordinate meetings, assisting staff with calendar management - T, TW
  6. Perform accurate data entry and maintain up-to-date records in HR systems - T, CT
  7. Assist with onboarding by preparing new hire paperwork and materials - P, CSD
  8. Prepare memos, forms, and other correspondence related to campus employment policies and procedures - C, T
  9. Support campus employment projects, including research and basic data analysis - CT, T, CSD
  10. Help with marketing and recruitment efforts to increase visibility of campus employment opportunities - C, TW, CTR

Education Requirements: Must be a current UPIKE student in good standing.

Work Schedule: Up to 10 hours per week; schedule varies depending on office needs and student availability.

Work Conditions: Typical office environment; may include occasional interruptions or varied lighting/noise levels.

Physical Demands: Keyboarding; reaching/handling; occasional lifting up to 10 lbs.
