Position Summary

We are seeking an Entry-Level Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Electrical Engineering graduate who is interested in industrial electrical systems, controls, automation, and hands-on project experience.

The Electrical Engineer will work alongside experienced engineers on the design, specification, programming, testing, and commissioning of electrical and control systems. This position provides exposure to a wide variety of industrial technologies and offers opportunities to participate in projects from initial design through installation and startup.

The successful candidate should be technically curious, detail-oriented, willing to learn, and comfortable working both in an office environment and at customer or project locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the design and engineering of industrial electrical and control systems.
  • Develop and review electrical drawings, schematics, layouts, and P&IDs.
  • Assist with PLC and DCS programming using systems such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and Honeywell.
  • Support the development and configuration of HMI and SCADA applications.
  • Assist with motor control systems, AC drives, and power distribution systems.
  • Work with process control instrumentation and industrial automation equipment.
  • Assist with industrial network layout, configuration, and implementation.
  • Work with communication protocols including Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Profibus, Modbus, ControlNet, RS-485, and similar technologies.
  • Assist with electrical panel design, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate with internal panel fabrication and engineering teams.
  • Participate in laboratory testing and system validation.
  • Prepare bills of materials, calculations, data sheets, drawings, and other project documentation.
  • Assist with equipment selection and electrical component specifications.
  • Participate in field installation, system startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
  • Provide technical assistance and remote support to customers when needed.
  • Review electrical systems and documentation for compliance with applicable NEC and NFPA requirements.
  • Work closely with engineers, project managers, technicians, and other team members to complete projects accurately and on schedule.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or a closely related engineering field.
  • Entry-level candidates and recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical engineering principles and industrial electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar electrical design software.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of an engineering team.

What This Position Offers

This is a strong opportunity for a new engineer to gain hands-on experience with industrial electrical engineering and automation.
