Job description

Worth Finance Corporation is seeking an entry-level Software QA Tester to join our software development team building financial applications. This position will work closely with developers and product stakeholders to test new features, identify defects, and ensure application quality as features move through development, testing, staging, and production.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically curious, enjoys finding problems, and is interested in developing a career in software quality assurance and test automation.
Key Responsibilities
  • Review requirements and user stories to determine testing needs.
  • Create and maintain manual and automated test cases for new features.
  • Build automated browser-based tests for repeatable application workflows.
  • Test features as they progress through development, testing, staging, and production.
  • Perform regression testing to ensure existing functionality continues to work.
  • Test applications across supported browsers, operating systems, screen sizes, and mobile devices.
  • Identify, document, and track defects with clear steps to reproduce.
  • Retest corrected defects and verify fixes.
  • Work closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Review automated test results and investigate failures.
  • Maintain and improve the automated regression test suite.
  • Pay particular attention to financial calculations, data accuracy, validation, permissions, and edge cases.

Requirements
  • 0-2 years of QA, software testing, IT, development, or related experience; education or relevant project experience may substitute.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical/problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to clearly document technical issues.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Basic understanding of web applications.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new technologies and tools.

Preferred:
  • Basic JavaScript, HTML, or CSS knowledge.
  • Familiarity with Git.
  • Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and browser developer tools.
  • Experience with Agile software development.
