Job Location: Melbourne, FL

Summary:   

As a Lead Systems Technician, you will be responsible for the installation and/or servicing of integrated systems including Burg and Fire Alarms, Access Control, and Video Solutions. Additional responsibilities include a strong technical aptitude, ability to decipher/design integrated systems in compliance with local jurisdiction requirements, and effective interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:   

  • Install/service integrated systems:
    •  

      Complete installation and/or servicing of various types of integrated systems, including integrated burg, card access, video, and fire alarm systems. 

    •  Troubleshoot integrated systems in high-end residential and commercial applications.  

    •  Demonstrate proficiency and understanding of the software and programming for the primary manufacturers used by branch.  

    •  Employ logic and experience to work through system and integrated system issues. 

    •  Assist in design and deployment of projects in concert with local and state building codes and communicate effectively with AHJs. 

    •  Interact and communicate at all levels of the organization and with external customers.  Share knowledge, ideas, and solutions.  

           
  • Train and mentor technicians:
    • Review work of Entry Level through Level 2 technicians on shared job site and provide training to correct any errors. 
    • Responsible for the work done by all technicians on his/her jobs. 

Qualifications:   

  • Education & Experience:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Minimum of 2-years of fire detection and signaling systems experience (burglary, fire alarm, CCTV and access control).
    • 5+ years industry experience - Preferred. 
  • Certification/License:
    • Must possess a Valid Driver’s License.
    • Fire Alarm License - Preferred.
    • ESA Certified Alarm Technician Level 2 or equivalent - Preferred.
    • NICET Fire or Video Level 2 - Preferred
  • Communication:
    • Must be able to effectively communicate with various individuals in a professional manner in order to provide superior customer service.
  • Technical:
    • Understands software and programming for the primary manufacturers used by their home branch. 
    • Possesses the skill to decipher/design integrated systems in conjunction with local jurisdiction requirements.
