Job description

Job Summary:
Raytheon, the world's largest aerospace and defense company, is looking for Software Engineers to join their team in Tewksbury or Woburn, MA. The role involves developing, testing, and integrating complex software solutions for aerospace and defense applications, while participating in collaborative, agile product teams.
Responsibilities:
• Participate in collaborative, cross-discipline integrated product teams, employ agile software development techniques and resources to develop, test, and integrate complex software and systems solutions for aerospace and defense applications
• Participate in agile execution and continuous improvement
• Work collaboratively with Systems and Integration Test Engineers to analyze, implement and test system
Qualifications:
Required:
• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience in any of the following, software development, integration, test using C++, C#, Java or similar software language
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred:
• Strong problem-solving, teamwork and communication skills
• Desire and ability to learn new technologies and tools
• Experience working in Agile environment such as Scrum, Scrum @ Scale, SAFe, Test-Driven Development, DevSecOps
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements
• Experience contributing to a team environment for the purpose of developing creative solutions to difficult technical problems
• Experience with integrated development tools such as Azure, Git, Atlassian Suite, Jenkins, Eclipse, and Ansible
• Experience working in a continuous integration/continuous development pipeline
• Knowledge of Red Hat and/or Linux Operating Systems
• Exposure to Open Systems Architectures and modular design principles
