Job Summary

DSI Technology Solutions is seeking an experienced Technology Solutions Technician (ESS Level III / IV) to install, program, service, and maintain integrated low-voltage security systems. This role supports complex commercial and government projects and requires strong technical expertise, professionalism, and the ability to travel extensively.
This is a hands-on, field-based role for experienced technicians only.
What You’ll Do
  • Install, program, service, and troubleshoot:
  • IP amp; analog camera systems (NVRs)
  • Access control systems amp; electric door hardware
  • Intrusion detection amp; panic systems
  • Intercoms, VoIP intercoms, and call boxes
  • Turnstiles, controlled entry, and weapons detection systems
  • Perform rough-in, trim-out, programming, training, and project close-out
  • Manage installation projects from design through completion
  • Install low-voltage cabling, fiber termination, patch panels, switches, and IP devices
  • Perform basic network configuration (IPv4, IP addressing)
  • Review plans, manuals, and work orders to ensure compliance
  • Complete accurate As-Built documentation
  • Provide remote programming and technical support when needed
  • Maintain company tools, equipment, ladders, and vehicles
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site daily
  • Follow all safety standards and company policies
  • Travel extensively (company pays or reimburses all expenses)
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of electronic security or low-voltage systems experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
  • Working knowledge of commercial security amp; control systems
  • NTS Level 1 certification or equivalent experience
  • Ability to obtain:
  • U.S. Government Security Clearance
  • NTS Level 1 Certification within 1 year of hire
  • Must pass background check, security clearance, and drug screening
  • Professionalism, honesty, and trustworthiness required at all times
Preferred Skills
  • IP camera systems amp; access control software
  • Fiber termination amp; structured cabling
  • Windows amp; Linux system installation
  • Project coordination and multitasking
  • Strong written and verbal communication

Physical Requirements
  • Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
  • Prolonged standing, walking, climbing, bending, and reaching
  • Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • PPE required when applicable

Schedule amp; Work Environment
  • Monday–Friday, typically 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Start times may vary by site (as early as 6:00 AM)
  • Commercial and government job sites
