Job description
WPP Media is seeking an Associate, Media Planning who is passionate about marketing and curious about the role media plays in advertising. This position within the Planning team plays a critical role in bringing a client's vision to life and reaching target audiences. Media planners are part psychologist, scientist, artist, entrepreneur, and diplomat. They develop strategies that determine how brands should connect with consumers across a wide variety of media channels and how they can stand out from the competition.
The Associate role is an entry-level position that supports the Planning team while learning through established training programs and on-the-job experience, particularly within digital media. You will be responsible for expanding your knowledge in preparation for advancement and gaining exposure to all aspects of media planning.
How You'll Make an Impact- Assist in developing tactical plans that support the consumer journey.
- Research market trends in emerging media and content development.
- Collaborate with the Media Investment team and other partners to ensure ideas are strategically sound and commercially viable.
- Participate in brainstorming and ideation sessions, including those outside your assigned client portfolio.
- Develop a strong understanding of syndicated tools and systems, as well as Mindshare Canada's proprietary tools and methodologies.
- Build industry expertise by actively participating in industry training sessions and presentations.
- Continue exploring new media channels and emerging technologies.
- Develop presentation and reporting skills.
- Ensure effective communication within the team.
- Support the billing process.
